Move Past Plastic (MPP)

MPP meets the 3rd Monday of the

month 6-7 p.m. NEXT meeting is 6-7

p.m.

Become a member to recieve the Zoom link to the meetings. Move Past Plastic (MPP) campaign is a program under TLC Education that aims to help communities, businesses, and individuals understand the complexities of the single use plastic (SUP) crisis by offering needed resources including education and partnerships, to aid in facilitating the transition from reliance on single use plastics, toward practices supporting a regenerative economy.

All programs may be requested by any organization,

group, school, co-op, or business to fit into your time

schedule. Requests may be made for additional

program interest. Check out our program tab.

Mission

TLC Education is dedicated to experiential learning that promotes individuals and groups to serve in their communities by using investigative, interactive, interdisciplinary courses, camps, field experience, sports programs and campaigns.

Value

Investigative and Experiential Learning Connections to businesses, volunteer organizations, and investigation in career and college opportunities. Certificate for completed course(s) or credit with a grade. Social connections fostering friendships, support, and community. TLC Education courses are designed to teach Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) through classroom and field investigation, research, problem-solving, debate, discourse, media, guest speakers, civic engagement, and environmental education. With educators’ facilitation, students will use their knowledge and resources to employ the Investigative, project based learning process to identify and research community environmental issues,resulting in a civic action project that addresses their selected issue.

Welcome:

TLC Education

Offers a variety of interactive, community building classes for youth and adults. They are interdisciplinary classes that focus on science, the environment, health and athletics. You will experience your learning, be connected with organizations to enhance your knowledge and have volunteer opportunities.
